Annie Sweetnam, Ph.D.

why so many fruits begin

with the letter P

plum, peach and pear

lips touching

pineapple and papaya

mouth wide open

passion fruit and persimmons

pomegranate — a fruit hard to understand —

and my favourite,

so softly grapefruit round
