Homosexuality in a male is interpreted as being due to (a) a severe prohibition of masturbation, (b) an attempt to seduce authority, (c) an eroticization of hostility to the father, (d) castration anxiety, arising from heterosexual incestuous desires, and (e) hostile rejection of women.
