Announcing the Forthcoming Publication of the New Library of Psychoanalysis

TAVISTOCK PUBLICATIONS AND THE INSTITUTE OF PSYCHOANALYSIS are pleased to launch the New Library which is intended to facilitate a greater and more widespread appreciation of what psychoanalysis is really about and to provide a forum for increasing mutual understanding between psychoanalysis and those working in other disciplines like linguistics, literature, psychology, medicine, anthropology, sociology and philosophy.

It is planned to publish a limited number of books each year in an accessible form and to select those contributions which deepen and develop psychoanalytic thinking and technique, contribute to psychoanalysis from the outside and contribute to other disciplines from a psychoanalytical perspective. The first six titles for 1987 are:

Impasse and Interpretation Herbert Rosenfeld February
Psychoanalysis and Discourse Patrick Mahony February
Thinking, Feeling and Being Ignacio Matte Blanco May
The Suppressed Madness of Sane Men Marion Milner May
The Theatre of the Dream Saloman Resnik June
The Riddle of Freud Estelle Roith June

They will be published in hardback at approximately £25.00
