The Fourth Conference of the Sigmund Freud Center of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem

The Meaning of the Nazi Holocaust
to Those Not Directly Affected –
A Psychoanalytic View

will be held at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, on May 24, 25 and 26, 1988.

This Conference will focus on the impact and meaning of the Nazi holocaust to those others who were not victims, survivors, second generation survivors, or perpetrators. We will thus concentrate on those persons who, like so many of us and our patients, were not directly affected by the Nazi holocaust. The psychoanalytic view of this theme will base itself on what we have learned by looking at our patients, psychoanalytic and psychotherapeutic, and at ourselves.

There will be four presentations for this Conference:

Sheldon Roth M.D., Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.

Vamik Volkan M.D., Charlottesville, Virginia, U.S.A.

Dr. Med. Johann-Gottfried Appy, Stuttgart, West Germany

Yehezkel Cohen, Ph.D. and Rafael Moses, M.D., Jerusalem, Israel

The language of the Conference will be English.

Registration Fees: Early Registration (until 1 March 1988) Conference Participants – $220.00; Accompanying Persons (social program only) – $80.00. Late Registration (after 1 March 1988) Conference Participants – $260.00; Accompanying Persons – $100.00. The fees include a cocktail reception and the farewell dinner.
