Dear Dr. Paolo Migone

Thank you for the letter about our book Reading Italian Psychoanalysis and for expanding the interest around this dense theoretical panorama within our country.

In fact, we are not aware of any specific publication that explores the broad galaxy of the many psychoanalytically oriented schools in the peninsula, their history or their authors’ main theories and writings, or other articles that may explore differences among Lacanian schools or approaches that you mention.

Therefore, we hope others will be inspired to write more anthologies like Reading Italian Psychoanalysis (or Reading French Psychoanalysis, or Pioneers of Psychoanalysis in South America etc.), whatever their psychoanalytic orientations and titles may be, of course intrinsically partial and without aspirations of comprehensiveness, as one might reasonably and realistically expect from any anthology.

We are glad that our book has called attention to this need.
