Tip: To sort articles by Rank…

PEP-Web Tip of the Day

You can specify Rank as the sort order when searching (it’s the default) which will put the articles which best matched your search on the top, and the complete results in descending relevance to your search. This feature is useful for finding the most important articles on a specific topic.

You can also change the sort order of results by selecting rank at the top of the search results pane after you perform a search. Note that rank order after a search only ranks up to 1000 maximum results that were returned; specifying rank in the search dialog ranks all possibilities before choosing the final 1000 (or less) to return.

Una Reseña Olvidada De Sandór Ferenczi: Tres Ensayos Sobre El Conflicto Interior (Otto Gross, 1920).

Francisco Javier Montejo Alonso and Tea Habazin

In the beginning of 1920 Otto Gross published his last book Three essays about the internal conflict, almost simultaneously as Beyond the pleasure principle, where Freud revised his drive theory. Gross was one of the most brilliant analysts of the “first generation”, but as he had spent more than 10 years outside of the psychoanalytical movement, no one was showing interest for his publications except Ferenczi, who immediately wrote a critical review which has never been translated to Spanish. We present hereby the translation of Ferenczi’s text, where he shows a great interest for the new approach proposed by Gross, stemming from a recently discovered “hospitalism syndrome”: the “instinct (or drive) towards contact” as the origin of child sexuality. This work shows a fundamental moment in the trajectory of Ferenczi’s work, where he makes a definitive turn towards the research of early relationships and towards the recovery of trauma factor, something that will illuminate the rest of his psychoanalytic work and form the foundations for the attachment and relational approach in psychoanalysis.
