Sigmund Freud

Vienna IX, Berggasse 19
3. iv. 34

Dear Meister Arnold,

The old story has it that when the 10,000 led by Xenophon after a long march through Asia Minor finally reached the coast and beheld the sea, they shouted in amazement: Θaλaσσa, Θaλaσσa. Xenophon who was standing near remarked: ‘One can also say Θaλaσσa.’

On p. 232 of your Bilanz please correct Subconscious to Unconscious and on p. 234 Ferency to Ferenczi.

Ever yours
Freud

P.S. Oh, also Edward Jones on p. 254 to Ernest J.
