OS&D is at a moment of major transition. For the past seven years the Journal has been ably edited by Michael Moskowitz and Anne-Marie Cummins. Both are stepping down, giving the reins to two new Editors. On the American side, Aaron Nurick, a Professor at Bentley College, will assume the editorial role. In the UK it will be filled by Nadine Tchelebi, from The University of the West of England.
First, we want to offer an appreciation of the contribution of Michael and Anne-Marie.
Many contributors will be well aware of Michael's highly professional, competent, and helpful approach when responding to their needs. His understanding and knowledge of the intricacies of the editorial process will be greatly missed. He has been an amicable colleague who could be relied upon for ensuring that the best needs of the Journal were always in the forefront of his thinking. We have benefited greatly from the skill and knowledge that has helped us to meet the challenges arising at each new stage of the Journaldevelopment.
Anne-Marie has, equally, been a helpful and professional Editor. She quickly established herself and developed the skills required of the role while constantly being available to ensure the future needs of the Journal. Under her guidance the Journal continued to benefit, to develop, and to be praised for its excellence. Never lacking in time or patience and in spite of competing demands she never failed to provide support when needed. Working with Anne-Marie has been a great pleasure.
The debt we owe to both Michael and Anne-Marie is for their constant endeavours on behalf of the Journal for the last seven years. The result of their skilful, hard work is best illustrated by the fact that O&SD is now a high quality, respected Journal that is growing in influence and constantly developing.
