Addressing the Chasm

This paper presents a case study of an action research project conducted with a cross-departmental education council in a large public health institution. Our task was to explore the enabling and inhibiting dynamics impacting on the delivery of an organisation wide interdisciplinary education strategy. Using the dynamics in our own research system as a potential parallel process to the dynamic in the client system provided rich data for exploring the psychodynamics of trust and collaboration.
