Review by:
Ernest S. Wolf

K. R. Eissler on Freud and Jung! One can hardly think of anyone more qualified than Eissler to comment on this most interesting of Freud's friendships, one that was so fateful for both of them and for psychoanalysis. Eissler is a distinguished psychoanalyst who hardly needs an introduction to the readers of this Quarterly. He has written extensively, bringing his wide erudition, experience, and quite original insights to bear on many aspects of psychoanalysis. He has been equally at home in psychoanalytic theory, psychoanalytic practice, applied psychoanalysis, and the history of psychoanalysis, especially that which involves Freud.
