William D. Jeffrey

The author describes a patient who suffered recurrent primal scene exposure in childhood, and later developed an addiction to big-screen pornography. In the patient's preference for large image pornography, he would take himself as an object, perceiving himself as small in relation to the giant phalluses on the screen. In addition to the attempt to master the primal scene trauma, the patient attempted to create a potent father and augment his own masculine identity through incorporation and collation of various part-objects.
