L'auteur pose la question de savoir à quelle passivité l'on se réfère lorsque l'on évoque la passivité chez l'homme? A une passivité secondaire, liée à l'objet paternel œdipien? Ou bien à une passivité primaire, liée à l'objet maternel primaire, et dont il faut distinguer ce qui est du registre du féminin primaire (identification au désir de la mère pour le père) de ce qui en constitue le revers, à savoir le refus du féminin, le fantasme de la mère phallique et l'homosexualité?
