Alnæs, R. Larsson, B. Paikin, H. Välimäki, J. (1979). Editoral. Scand. Psychoanal. Rev., 2(2):111-112.

(1979). Scandinavian Psychoanalytic Review, 2(2):111-112

Editoral

Randolf Alnæs, M.D., Bo Larsson, M.D., Henning Paikin, M.D. and Jukka Välimäki, M.D.

The annual volumes of The Scandinavian Psychoanalytic Review will continue to comprise two issues. Publication, however, will vary within the calendar year, for example both issues of Vol. 3 will be published in the first half of 1980 in order to present two papers on the history of psychoanalysis in Denmark and Norway before the Seventh Scandinavian Psychoanalytic Congress takes place in Denmark from August 14th to August 17th, 1980.

The editoral board will similarly try to adapt the issues of Vol. 4 to The 32nd International Psychoanalytical Congress, to be held in Helsinki, Finland from July 26th. to August 1st, 1981. In Vol. 4 1981 we also hope to publish papers read at The Scandinavian Psychoanalytic Congress in Denmark, 1980.

A list of some of the forthcoming papers is found on the last page of this issue. The Scandinavian Psychoanalytic Review will also bring reviews of books on psychoanalysis mainly — but not exclusively — by Scandinavian authors.

We receive a steadily increasing flow of manuscripts, but because of the limited financial means at our disposal and small number of issues, the editorial board is often forced to make decisions of priority in order to avoid undue delay in publication.

The editorial board has for the time being decided not to accept commercial advertisements, but is willing, on an exchange basis, to publish advertisements of international journals within the field of psychoanalysis.
