Dear friend,

Yesterday the interesting letter went off to you, today the third part of the Lectures. I am sorry that your transfer resulted in inconveniences for you. Perhaps things won't be as bad as they seem. I am very much in suspense about your personal news.

I received your information about Csorbató, and I now hope to be able to spare you further difficulties. We reported to the authorities here that we will depart for Csorba on May 31; I will notify the management of this. I could have saved you a bit of effort; I have since learned here that the best travel route goes by the night train by way of Oderberg, where we have a layover for several hours and can be at our destination in the afternoon. I have already procured sleeping car vouchers and train tickets.

My wife has already responded to the munitions train. I learned today that Dr. Freund considers his shipment of twenty kilos of lard as “just a little something,” and would not like for you to follow his example.
