Dear Professor,

It turned out that travel handbooks may not be sold on account of the danger of spies (especially over the Carpathians). But with the help of a young mountaineer from that region, who is now doing secretarial work for me at the hospital, I succeeded in finding a copy.

I like Dr. Groddeck's second letter, despite the praiseworthy subjection, much less than the first. The lack of criticism with which he psychogenically derives his “throat ailment” also makes the other results which he reported appear in a corresponding light.

I hear from Frau G. that repairs and construction are going on in the main building in Csorba. It's a good thing you found lodging in another house.
